Game crashing when entering space battle

Ok, so I installed the game on my PC with RTX 4080 Super, and everything was fine until I started the Tutorial 3 (space battles). Right after I send out my fleet and start the battle, I see the loading screen and:
- in windowed mode the application stops responding
- in fullscreen mode the game crashes totally

I tried many fixes for other problems that resemble mine in any way: reinstalling (many times), changing the location of the installation, with VSYNC off, VSYNC on, different resolutions, different resolutions (both windowed and fullscreen), compatibility mode, run as admin, using mod-launcher and so on, and so on...

Forces of Corruption seems to work just fine, at least until Tutorial 3.
Does anyone experience the same problem? Is there another fix I can try?
