How to install Free Mode

I just got the game yesterday, a really great game, enjoying it. I would like to know how to install Free Mode. Anyone know?

As far as I know, Free Mode is included in the unofficial Remake 5.0 in the skirmish section of Forces of Corruption.

You can build whatever ships you want, but for the ships to engage instead of running away, they will need to be placed near the annoying space station - a shiny bright white circle with wrenches in the middle of it and it will be in your video captures whether you like it or not.

You will need to subscribe to the unofficial Update 5.0 in the workshop area and then Steam will download and install it. However, you will need to follow the directions of using a tag in your properties area to enable it.
