After you downloaded the mod, start the installer. Make sure the installation path leads to corruption folder (not corruption/mods or anything else). When the installation is finished go to Steam->Library->Star Wars Empire at War Gold->right click->Properties->Set Launch options->type: swfoc MODPATH=Mods\RaW
RaW is the mods folder after I renamed it to make it easier to switch between mods. I don't remember the initial folder name but it was something like Republic at War so in the Launch options you will type: swfoc MODPATH=Mods\Republic at War.
Start the game through Steam (not the game shortcut) and select Forces of Corruption. You'll definitely notice if the mod has been loaded. Once you are in the game start a skirmish game and see if the enemy is active, builds different types of units, upgrades the space station. This way you'll check if the new AI works properly. The first time I installed the mod the AI didn't do anything so I uninstalled it (start the mods install launcher again and select remove) and then reinstalled it and the problem was solved. Do the same if the AI doesn't work.
If you have any other questions be sure to ask. I'll be online for another 2-3 hours.
I highly recommend he use my tutorial to install RaW... my method is way better IMHO.
Regarding the AI, I don't remember exactly how I fixed it. It might have required an new installation or I might have manually moved the PerceptualEquations folder inside steamapps\common\Star Wars Empire at War\corruption\Data\XML\AI. If the AI doesn't work, make sure to check if that folder is in the right place.
I did not think you were, I am merely stating that my method is by far the best - seeing as it places the entire mod in a data folder rather than splitting it. Also, I have never had any problems with the AI using my method.
Can you post the link you are using? I am sure it's Moddb, but want to be 100%.
*EDIT* I just got a network error before the download finished - though I was downloading both versions of the installer.
I completely redid it, the other one was for an outdated version of the mod installer. It should now reflect exactly what you need to do with the new installers.
On a completely unrelated topic, I'd like to suggest any EaW player to take a look at Awakening of the Rebellion 2.5 mod, it's an old mod that never got finished but it's by far the best mod about the Galactic Civil War I've seen for EaW. Sorry for the off-topic.
The process takes about 5 minutes, at which time you are now running the mod from a single folder. The hidden benefit of doing so, something I did not explain, is that sometimes I have found people have somehow misplaced the RaW AI or forgot about it and don't know what is causing VM with others. What would *not* be easy to change by copying into the main folder? That is precisely why I told them to make a backup of their data folder, to switch to when they want to play Vanilla. It takes 10 seconds to rename two folders, so not much of a hassle there and plenty easy. If the process in getting to that point was easy, I would not have made a tutorial. This process is just for this mod, seeing as the Ai *has* to be in Data anyway; sure, they could just install it and play it, but this way there is less of a chance that you end up screwing up your game or misplacing files - which is something I have seen before.
Also, I honestly don't know what the "PerceptualEquations" folder is.
