STAR WARS™ Empire at War: Gold Pack

TIE fighters not spawning?
Encountered a really bad glitch. Took my imperial fleet to attack a rebel fleet over Felucia, and none of my star destroyers spawned TIE fighters or bombers. Anyone had this happen to them before? Also, are there any good fan-made "fix all" patches out there? Would love to see this game play right

Also just encountered another one, where the mission objectives box in the lower right of the screen is cut off, I can only see half of it. The rest of the gameplay is situated correctly on my screen, but the MO is cut completely in half. Never seen that before.

Just to make sure, the world wasn't corrupted by the Consortium right? One of their corruptions can stop garrisons from spawning from starbases and Imperial ships. It hurts Imperials a lot more than Rebels owing to their fighter-spawning mechanic while Rebels have to bring their own fighters.

I ran into that corruption myself, took me a few battles to realize it was a corruption and not a bug.

Felucia is corrupted, yes, but it's owned by the rebels. Seems odd for it to affect an attacking force though.

Corruption affects worlds even if another faction controls it. That's the annoying thing about corruption. Conquering a world automatically removes any existing corruption there, but the Consortium can(and often does) easily reapply the corruption against its new controllers.

It affects everyone, both of the other factions the Consortium is at war with. I've had easy space battles against the Empire where their attacking ships/defending stations weren't spawning TIEs. Since the Rebels build their own fighters to bring along to battles, it leaves battles pretty one-sided in their favor.

That's not even the most annoying corruption either. The one I hate the worst is the one that turns a world neutral when you remove the corruption, forcing you to quickly send your forces back to the world and then the costly and time-consuming rebuilding of all structures at the planet. You have to learn to tolerate that specific corruption. Thankfully it does nothing else, like the aforementioned garrison-blocking corruption, just the obligatory corruption that gives the Consortium a credit bonus for each kill plus the occassional sabotaged structure, so you can safely let it stay on the world with minimal annoyance

I'm sure there's a way to override it, so an attacking force isn't affected. I may as well destroy my entire navy, it's absurd. Is there a file I can modify or delete so that my SD's can spawn fighters?

Could you brute force the world with larger numbers of ships? Fighters are optional if you have the right ships. Victories and Imperials for the larger targets, Tartans to wipe out the rebel fighters, Broadsides for the space station.

If you have the resources, maybe you can push past the no-garrison hindrance until you can conquer the world and remove the corruption. The land battle shouldn't be as much of a hassle, and may even stop the rebel structures from producing units to fight you. The space battle would be hard, but the land battle would be a breeze.

Hey bucko. Either contribute to the conversation with meaningful dialogue, or get the hell out. Also you misspelled "they're." 'There' is meant for "it's over there" and "there it is," etc etc. Did I mention "fighters" too? Just sayin.

In any case, if you can't play nice, take your own advice and SHUT THE HELL UP. Go back to the playground, let the adults talk. Buh bye. NEXT.

I agree with the guy who said to brute force your way through, the Empire is heavily crippled by that corruption but with the right fleet composition its practically a walk over. I would suggest using that fleet elsewhere and bring in one intended to rely less on fighter support. Tartans are a fantastic fighter defense when theres 2-3 of them around a star destroyer or 2.
