Poor Performance and Optimization

So I tried out the RaW mod and that one had really bad lag everywhere, it was just unbearable. Then I went back to vanilla and that one has major performance problems as well. Is there any workaround for this?

my PC specs:
Windows 8.1 64-bit
EVGA Nvidia GTX 980 Ti Superclocked
Intel Core-i5 4950 @3.30 Ghz
8.0 Gb Ram

Any help would be appreciated

if you run 2 moniters on 1 run the game and on the over have programs checking cpu and gpu you could reduce the quality or if its a tower computer get a better processor

No I only have one monitor and my CPU has 4 cores and my GPU has over 6gb of memory, this game should not even take up a portion of GPU memory because these products came out in 2014/2015 and are top of the line while EaW came out a while back. Please read my specs next time, my computer doesn't *need* a better processor, this is the game's issue. I run GTA V at full specs and no lag what so ever, and I can practically run any game coming out this year at ultra and still have room.

i did the processor is intl and i thaught that the i5 was 1 core not 4 and my laptop has 4core(2.4ghz) amd amd radion r4 graphics card 16gb memory half of whit is possable to allocate as extra vram 4gb vram as base and it runs on max quality at 200 fps and i can run gta5 solid 60fps any setting fine the last i5 intel computer i used was 1 core thats why i sugested a better cpu but if its 4 core it should be fine

Not all i5s are the same what you're thinking of is an older moder, google the i5 4590 and you'll see what I'm talking about, anyway I want to play this game, and RaW, extremely bad but I just cannot tolerate these FPS drops. I used to mod for this game a long time ago and I want to do it again.

can you high priority it? i dont know much about how the game uses but what i do know is i get a fps drop in biger battles as well but its normaly from 200 to 100 fps it could be a lack of cpu chach memory or if could be fragmented(try defraging)

again, this is only on this game, defragging would not do anything. Most other games I'm all set at 60 fps smooth. I'll try the high-priority though

no patch or extras i know of but you could reinstall

Ok i figured it out, it was a problem with gamespeed. Derp, never thought that would cause it, but it appeared like bad lag when it was just the game going really slow.

you can change the game speed?how
also if you use steam fps that might help with noticing a wrong setting

it's under game settings, it's how fast the game goes, but putting it anywhere below half and you'll notice some huge lag

I can't even get that mod to work for me, I'm doing a fresh install of the game and a steam mod path to try it again. Did the AI work for you when you were playing as the republic?
