Super Star Destroyers/Eclipse
I used to play this game when I was rather young, and I jost bought it on Steam the other day. I have always wanted to play the Imperial Campaign with standard super star destroyers as well as the Eclipse. Are these available in the stadard game, or do I need a mod? If I need a mod, would any of you be so kind as to direct me to it?I used to play this game when I was rather young, and I jost bought it on Steam the other day. Just to be clear, you know the Eclipse is the one with the superlaser? And when you say standard, do you mean Executor Class? (The one that crashes into the Death Star 2 in the third film?)

Assuming that you do mean Executor Class when you say standard, then yes, in Forces of Corruption you can use a single "Standard" super star destroyer - you have to "build" Darth Vader, and in space he is onboard the Executor.

Be aware that after a battle, the AI just loves to put him planetside, so make sure to move him back into orbit or you'll lose a massive chunk of your firepower from your fleet. Also, it moves very, very slowly and may as well be static, so send something in the Vanguard slot as a scout, then hyper Vader in on top of the enemy. But not too close, as IIRC it can't cover its rear arc.

Thanks for the reply, but I was more asking for a mod that allows the production of multiple super star destroyers. :)

There probably is one.

However, do not download it from an untrusted site as there are several malware programs that lurk in some "fake" Super Star Destroyer" mods.

Imperial Civil War mod should do the trick.
DarkMoriarty 11 DIC 2015 a las 13:54
I'll give it a try.

wait a minute why does the 2006 empire at war game not have the option to build it?I have the original empire at war....
Me262Schwalbe1 16 MAR 2016 a las 19:48
why did the game developers not include it in-game?it was in the film back in the 80's
Ville Valste 17 MAR 2016 a las 6:59
Because the first game's timeline doesn't include it, like didn't the first film's timeline.

I think he meant the forces of corruption being standard or does he need a mod?
and on the same topic of discussion Do I need a mod?

Imperial Civil War mod from ModDb is the mod where you can get those by simply building them. Though, the minus side is that, because of Episode VII, it's no longer within the "Canon".

However, without a mod,you can build the death star and Lord Vader's personal flagship.
If you play the Galactic conflict, but be warned I am playing in Hard mode and I have to run all over removing corruption and racing to fight and recapture planets and then it gets a little easier once the death star and SSD is in possession enemy's slow down their corruption attacks and stuff.

However, early on build tech and consolidated important planets,I.E. Capital class ship planets have priority or your dead.that simple.

In hard mode, good luck my strategy was keep most of my inner worlds and build up more ships in each system, space station, planet structures in a every other turn day order.I built 1 star destroyer for most systems with 2 of each type of ships class maybe 3.depending on type of ships.

it took me to day 130 to get everything set up....
Me262Schwalbe1 20 MAR 2016 a las 12:28
Since i am playing in hard mode I do have a question,I am playing slow and enjoying my game not rushing it,however,i am worried that the rebels and zann consortium could build a super class in the Galactic conflict or conquest campaign with 55 planets.

That is what I am currently playing.I am worried I cannot see what they can do...

And one other thing?please answer all my questions including this one,why can I not play as the Empire in Campaign like in the original Star Wars Empire At War?You could play as Rebels or Empire.

Why just only Zann consortium in Grand Campaign?

And which campaigns,If I am playing as empire do my enemy's neighbors have the option to build the big super ships?
