He has a strength against it
just make sure to bring some waste fighters
For the rebels, you must use Luke Skywalker (or Rouge Squadron if expansion) to defeat the deathstar. To do this, simply surive the battle with all units that come alongwith the deathstar, and have them as part of the force that did so. If successful, the deathstar is destroyed upon battle completion.
For the Constortium, it is actually a lot easier to take out the death star, it merely take IG-88, and a ton of credits. Move IG-88 to the location, hack death star (which has its cost credit wise) and watch the planet its at get taken out in the collateral. NO SPACE BATTLE NEEDED.
I don't really play the multiplayer, but I was just curious as to how to defeat the Death Star should I ever need to.
So as Rebels, bring Luke/Rogue Squadron to the space battle and win to destroy the Death Star. Does Luke/Rogue have to survive the battle? And for Consortium, you simply pay a load of money to auto-kill it with IG-88. Does the Empire have any defense against IG-88 destroying the Death Star?
I don't remember if Luke/Rouge Squadron had to actually surive the battle or not, its been sometime since I've done it as rebels. Since I ussually play FoC, IG-88 often beats me to it.
The only defense, the empire has against IG-88 is to keep the Death Star is constant motion between systems. The odds of actually catching him continually with Boba Fett or Bounty Hunters are astronomical. Playing against a human opponent, economically starving out the Constortium is feasable but still highly difficult. Against computer, I am fairly sure it is not bound by the same rules, and will always have enough credits to mess things up.
I find it simply better to not even build the 2nd Death Star (if FoC), until completely neutralize the Consortium (or at least down to last 2-3 planets), and get it down to you vs rebels.
