The Gold Pack, despite its name, only includes the base game of Empire at War. Forces of Corruption, on the other hand, includes the "Forces of Corruption" add-on, obviously. The major difference is the amount of content you will get, and the accessibility for the campaigns. Empire at War will grant you access to the Rebel's and Empire's campaign, whereas Forces of Corruption will only grant the Forces of Corruption exclusive campaign about the Zann Consortium, a faction, which is also exclusive to Forces of Corruption. Furthermore, it will grant the Empire and Rebellion additional Units and Heroes, such as the Death Star II and the Executor. Additional planets, changes to existing planets, and a brand-new Corruption mechanic exclusively for the new faction, are also part of the add-on.

Yep, the Empire's and the Rebel's campaign are both unplayable in the Forces of Corruption add-on. And on the other side, the Zann Consortium campaign is unplayable in the base game (Gold Pack launch option). With mods, however, it is still possible to play the base game's campaigns in FoC. I just don't know which mods do this… But as far as I know, mods that would do this, would add them as selectable options inside Galactic Conquest.

There are mods on the steam workshop that allow you to play the Empire Campaign in Forces of Corruption. Honestly, Forces of Corruption adds some much needed tweaks with the units and just makes the game more smooth for me. Most mods on the workshop that I know of work best with forces of corruption
