How to import from GOG
I have completed the "Add a Game" function however I get an error stating it is unavailable because it is a non-steam game. Of course I want the "Workshop" so I can install the mods found on Steam. Is there a work around or is there another place to get the latest 4.0 mod? FYI it has not imported as the "Gold" edition which is what I purchased and have running from GOG, rather it has come up as "Star Wars - Empire at War" and "Star Wars - Empire at War - Forces of Corruption".

Ah, unfortunate.
I guess I paid five bucks for it a decade ago, I can pay about the same now and it won't kill me.
Thanks for the info.

steam keys are free for publishers (GOG keys are not free for publishers, as i heard they have some fee). And indie or not so big publishers not so rarely give keys. You can try contact Disney Games or maybe some SWEAW specific support(?) and ask a key.

Sometimes only confusion method works: Title your support ticket request as
Star Wars EAW FOC multiplayer migration to SteamWorks ver.

Cause sometimes there is such official migrations and official keys giveaways - its about to luck if Support can give you key.
Issue is even if there is such migration Support - all of them almost always - are not real Supports and have no idea what they "support" to. Especially is IP sold and support switched to other Support Service. Disney support probably have no keys at all although there is Steam keys.
Maybe LucasArts specific support contact still active. Devs have no keys. But along with devs some of LucasArts-Disney staff probably available to contact on their discord server.

Probably indie or mid-publishers more often giveaway steam keys cause easier to keys DB access for their Support teams. Official Support of Kalypso wihtout changed IP/publieher have no idea which of their games have Editors bundled and which one ask for activation key. But there is luck to get steam key for a game migration from Kalypso Support. Paradox.

You can show your Account Orders history on GOG and ask for a steam key on Discord in PM to some LucasArts staff.

(btw original publishers and keys provider of LucasArts PC titles in '00s was Activision)

Always try to get steam key from publisher for a game you bought elsewhere. Early you do more chance you get.
