Multiplayer Problems ;( (mod-Thrawn's Revenge)
So i've downloaded the "Thrawn's Revenge" mod for this and when i try to go to the internet option under multiplayer it says could not connect to gamespy, now i know gamespy has been gone for a while and with it their servers but is there a way to port forward or something for EaW?

Hey everyone! I am currently having the same issue Big Smonk is having. A friend and I are attempting to use GameRanger as a means to play Thrawn's Revenge together. We have installed the mod by merging it with the original Forces of Corruption Data folder. When one of us hosts the game through GameRanger Thrawn's Revenge loads perfectly, however, both of us are required to manually step up LAN in the game's main menu screen. After doing so and after hosting a game, neither one of us is able to see the other in the LAN multiplayer lobby. Is there any fix for this? Could it be that our files do not match for some reason and that's preventing one another from seeing the other in lobby?

We have successfully played the Republic at War mod through GameRanger. Thrawn's Revenge seems to be the only one giving us an issue.

I think your issue could actually be Republic at War. See, the problem with Republic at war is that it will install a few files in your actual game's data folder.. and even though both of you have it, those files for whatever reason cause some weird compatbility issues with other things. So, I would recommend doing fresh installations, and if you want to play RaW, keep seperate data folders for that mod (easy enough, just keep two copies of the FoC data folder, one for vanilla FoC and one that has the RaW files in it, which can be done by first making a copy of the data folder and then simply renaming your data folder once you have installed RaW to something like Data - RaW, and then rename the copy to just data. Then once you want to play RaW, rename data to something like data - vanilla, and the data - RaW to just data.

Yeah it means y'all have different files somewhere that aren't matching so it thinks you're playing different versions. There's not really any way to tell exactly what file is wrong either so you're stuck removing the mod files and starting over.

Thanks so much! I had a feeling that was the issue.
