Are the Consortium op?

Just wanted to start another disscusion this one about the game, which being the Consortium faction. In your opinion, do you think the Consortium faction is op and in need of a nerf, or do you think they are a-okay in terms of balancing? Why or why not?

They're definitely annoying to fight, especially in galactic conquest, but idk if I would really consider them imbalanced.

Heya Thrawn. Good game and well played earlier! I don't think the Consortium are overpowered, per-se, however I do believe that they can be quite annoying, even menacing if left unchecked. In that game we played earlier, I wasn't much of a threat as Consortium for two reasons: a. Both you and the Rebels kept on harassing my mining, thus most of the game I was behind in credits from both of you. b. I'm not a very good Consortium player, I just find them enjoyable to play. However, I can say from doing more than a few 2v2v2s as the Empire vs Rebellion and Consortium, that when someone knows how to play Cons and they don't get harassed enough, they can grow to be an overpowering threat.

Are they overpowered? No, I don't think so. Are they overTUNED? Maybe just a little bit.

Yes, the Consortium is overpowered. For example the jamming system (upgrade) for the Skipblast Boat can be used to make a cover-up to the Vegeance frigate, making them stationary and begin small targets, the laser of the interdictor and star destroyer have less chance of hitting them if compared with the Vegeance, what is obvious a bigger target, while the torpedos and missiles will keeping making circles around them. The Canderous-class is another example, with the slugs of mass driver cannons can bypass the shields of a AT-AT and send it to the ground with three companies of tanks. In fact the canderous is the strongest vehicle avaliable to the Consortium, even more powerfull than the MZ-8 Mobile Pulse Cannon with it core overload. Sometimes I play in the medium difficult, only in the defensive mode, with Jabiim begin my only planet, and even with the odds against me I still win against both the Empire and Rebels. Of course I have a lot of difficult without the black market technology, but after I buy all the upgrades I can last long.
