AI is cheating!
I am playing Galactic Conquest. I have control over Fondor, Kuat, and Mon Calamari. If I understand this correctly, only these three systems should be able to produce either Star Destroyers or Mon Calamari Cruisers. If I control all these systems, then the AI should not be able to be producing any Calamari Cruisers, apart from Home One; however, the AI is somehow still producing dozens of these ships. Where are all these ships coming from?

The 4th capital ship planet is Sullust. Do they control it? Mandalore and Hypori were added to the list in the FoC expansion, but that capital ship limitation didn't exist in the Zann campaign.

Space station level 5 can produce capital ships.
If i remember there is 5-6 planets (FoC), where you can get level 5 space stations.

Heroes has own capital ships.

Utapau, Mustafar, Bespin, Naboo, all these planets have a Level 5 Space Station AND they are unable to produce Capital Ships. There are like 40 Planets in the game that can have a Level 5 Space Station.

But

Only the Following Planets can produce Mon Calamari Cruisers:
MonCalimari, Kuat, Fondor, Sullust, Hypori, Mandalore

In the base game, the AI gets free ships every turn. For each level 5 space station they control, they have a small (10% i think) chance to spawn a cap ship. Its the reason the rebel AI is able to send so many fighters and bombers as well as corvettes and missile corvettes at you almost every turn, they get them free every turn.

I don't know about you but I can only see 2 comments now from you. The one I am referring to right now and the one I was referring to earlier.
So I did indeed read all your comments.
And if you posted something else in some other thread it is of no meaning here.
Which leads us to the next part:
"If i remember there is 5-6 planets (FoC), where you can get level 5 space stations."
This sentence is a complete mess without any context since without any context.. and since there is no context this only states that there are only 5-6 planets in forces of corruption that have the capability of constructing a level 5 space station.. which is clearly false.
So I don't have a "reading problem" but since I am no Jedi and I can not read any peoples minds I can only work with what I see.
And as I mentioned earlier everything I saw from you was:

Space station level 5 can produce capital ships. If i remember there is 5-6 planets (FoC), where you can get level 5 space stations. Heroes has own capital ships.

I played that game two weeks ago. And i not need always go check games for information.
I not have time play all the time.

I look this "There are like 40 Planets in the game that can have a Level 5 Space Station".
So you was wrong too, there is 44 planets total in the Vanilla game, and 20 planets you can build to level 5.

According to the game files there are 39 Planets that can have a Level 5 Space Station.
Not every of the 39 can be easily accessed through the Galactic Conquest Mode though. Some are Story related. If you want to have full list of every planet that according to the game files can have a level 5 space station (including the story ones) here you go:

The game without mods is not good. Install a mod like Phoenix Rising, Awakening Of The Rebellion, Thrawn's Revenge, or Fall Of The Republic.

Again you are not reading. Madalore, Utapau, and The Maw is not in the Vanilla game. Vanilla has 44 planets. Vanilla means without FoC.

FoC increase many planets Space Stations levels.

Was this part of an update, I only remember the first three planets allowing for the production of Capital Ships? If this is case, it certainly wrecks my current strategy.

Doubtful. It's probably been this way since the manual was printed. https://kupdf.net/download/star-wars-empire-at-war-manual_596bb8a4dc0d60f561a88e7a_pdf (p29).

Nope it wasn't. Since the launch of the game in 2006 it always were 4 planets that could produce capital ships. With the Expansion Forces of Corruption from 2006 (yep same year) there were 2 more planets that were able to do that totalling a maximum amount of 6 planets that are able to build capital ships. That has never changed in the past almost 15 years.

Vanilla certainly can also mean without mods
Meaning that you could have also talked about Vanilla Forces of Corruption
Since nobody before you even stated that they are playing the base empire at war.
No not even the creator of this post. He just said that he controls all 3 planets that are able to produce capital ships.. since even with the base game which you are referring to as "Vanilla" there are 4 planets why shouldn't we consider that he defeated the Underworld faction and overlooked the other 3 capital ship planets? Hm?
So I will tell you this once again: I am reading.
