Why has no one made a proper First Order vs Resistance mod?

I'm talking like a mod on the scale of Republic at war. there's certainly potential in turning it into something interesting, despite the bad trilogy.

Amusingly they nixed the hyperspace ramming in the next movie, "she was trying to escape and it was a random accident" instead. Its what you get when you make part of your trilogy with a director who hates star wars and doesnt care about the lore, then the next one with a fan. Complete garbage and proliferate randomness.

That didn't happen at all, the hyperspace ram was never stated to be an accident, just something that has a low chance of working properly

The resistence never even had a real fleet. They used all they've had for hyperspace ramming. What a boring game that would be. You've got a capital ship, oh it's gone. For the Empire it's the same. Oh, finally we've got a badass fleet. Oh, it got Hyperrammed.

To be honest being rammed not that bad as being blown by some 'random' sand-farmer who scored 10\10 on shoving tiny unguided torpedos in DS's a-hole (or should itll be called d-hole?) or a kamikaze guy on malfunctioned A-Wing who destroyed just a tiny bridge and whole SUPER STAR DESTROYER!!!!!1111oneoneone reduced to atoms in a typical drive accident.

So far Episodes 2, 3, Rogue One and Clone Wars had literally best and almost realistic space battles which could be reproduced and expanded pretty easily. Producers of Rogue One actually did that trick by scannin&digitalisin older plastic models made by LucasFilms original crew, afterwhat made similar combat situations of Ep4 and Ep6 battles (trench attack and final brawl near Endor) and they succeed pretty hard that way - some can tell that gate attack was quite cheesy and made just as 'fan service' but for me this short scene was 1000% better than all space combat moments in the whole JaJa's parody.

So far the most promising thing in a whole SW universe are Mandalorian and upcoming Obi-Wan series (99% sure itll rock since both Ewan McGregor and deeply fried Hayden Christensen will return to hardbass the Galaxy one more time). Boba Fett's series coming too but no fancy info yet...

I wouldn't say that is a good representation of the trilogy. She lost every single battle she fought by herself except the rock. She had a lot of help in every battle.

I've thought about putting together a small sequel era mod, but I'm not sure there's enough ship/unit variety. Hopefully as time goes on the faction rosters are fleshed out more, I think it would be fun

I wouldn't mind someone adding in some of the better characters like Iden, Gallius Rax, Grand Admiral Sloane, and content from Rebels and Rogue One, but I agree with keeping First Order nonsense out.

Firstly, the sequels largely consisted of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, from the first scenes where the New Republic was too inconvenient for the plot and made to go away because SUDDENLY SEUPERWEAPON. You need grounded plot to build off for a grand strategy.

Secondly, an Empire At War scenario depends on two or more actually competitive factions. The Resistance...is not.
