Why has no one made a proper First Order vs Resistance mod?

I'm talking like a mod on the scale of Republic at war. there's certainly potential in turning it into something interesting, despite the bad trilogy.

like not just reskinned empire / rebels. yoden mod had kinda the first order and resistance but its rather low quality from last time i played

Its mostly because there is no proper lore with the new trilogy, with all the new stuff getting pulled right from disneys butthole. For instance, a speeder unit with tank treads attached for "control". Or a xyston star destroyer, its 3x the size of a star destroyer and has 18x the firepower + plus a superweapon + all the goodies (even though it has the EXACT dimensions of an isd1 because disney was too lazy to properly do anything in those movies). How the hell do you balance these nonsensical things?

And the best reason, because noone cares. The legends universe is just so much better, and if you were slumming it you would go total conversion, not disney trash.

Most of the big overhaul mods for this game existed or have been in the works long before those new movies came out, there also doesn't seem to be fans of the the ST movies passionate enough to make a good quality mod for this old and kind of obscure game.

All that said, the person who made Battlefront Commander Mod is gonna start work on a new mod (once the final update for BF commander is released this month) which is gonna be a post Return of the Jedi mod that combines EU and new canon stuff which includes the First Order.

Last time I checked new Episodes, MaRey Sue solo'd everybody on her way by the unique technique of closin her eyes and sayin 'Force...', while her rebel buddies were busy rammin huge imperial ships with their frigates with no sweat, so I guess itll be slightly hard to bring such gameplay into non-Disney part of Galaxy.

To be honest the entire sequel trilogy can probably just be considered really really bad fan fiction made by someone who isn't a fan rather than canon.

well the way i see it, hyperspace raming kinda kills my space ship boner, not to point out that there have been no really good designs an creativetity. btw disney killed of the new republic in the first 10 mins an no one even bated an eye super realisic, i totaly am invested in their starwars brand. what could you possibly like from the new stuff anyway, its mostly copypasta from the OT an reskins, maybe 10 new ships an zero ground forces.

Amusingly they nixed the hyperspace ramming in the next movie, "she was trying to escape and it was a random accident" instead. Its what you get when you make part of your trilogy with a director who hates star wars and doesnt care about the lore, then the next one with a fan. Complete garbage and proliferate randomness.

Calling Jar Jar Abrams a "fan" is quite the stretch considering how all his ideas were just copying Lucas but doing it poorly at best.

It's because the new movies pretty much suck, sorry not sorry. I hope somebody looks to Rogue One and the Mandalorian for inspiration because the ep 7-9 films were just awful and derivative.
