Mods not working.

I cannot get my mods to work since they keep doing these maintenance patches. I could use some help figuring out how to get my mods working again.

The last maintenance patch was January my guy. And that was after like a decade of nothing, I think. You must have something else going on, if they're suddenly not working. You can load the base game, yes?

Yea, base game will work. When I type in the STEAMMOD code it doesn't use the mod, and instead pulls up the base foc.

I thought there was a more recent patch, but I guess your right. Yea I dunno why the mods aren't working then.

Are you using the code provided in mod descriptions, or the actual code that steam uses? Sometimes, for whatever reason, the steammod code will be different.

Check these three things-
1: Is the mod actually for FOC, or is it for base EAW? Mods meant for EAW will not run when loading FOC

2: Check that you're using correct steammod code. Mine are stored in ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\32470 ) You'll have to figure out which folder is the mod (or mods) that don't seem to be working, and verify that you're using the correct one.

3: Is the format correct? it should be steammod=1125571106 (That's the code for the Thrawn's Revenge mod, each mod will be different)

I am trying to play the Fall of the Republic Mod, which I've played a ton in the past. I go to the EAW properties. Then, the launch options and I put in the Fall of the Republic mod steam code. (STEAMMOD=1976399102) I then launch the FOC because FOTR is a FOC mod (at least I believe so), but instead of launching the mod it launches the original FOC game.

Oh, you've played before. I wondered if maybe you were new to it and making some mistake.

Have you tried launching thru the ingame mods option? Or giving FoTR it's own game tab?

Ah, hang on. Did you try to play offline at some point recently, like not connected to internet? I found that if you try to play offline, you can't play mods, and it messes up stuff once you are connected.

try to drop the parenthesis as well and see if that helps the launcher load the mod in question, I have not used parenthesis in the target box before.

How do you launch thru ingame mod options? Or how do you launch it's own game tab? I believe when I use the steam code, it doesn't have parentheses.

I think he misunderstood what was being said in my post above.

In-game mod loading - on the main menu, hit options, then I think Mods, or Mod Options...something.

Select the mod from the list, hit go, and it'll relaunch. If it loads base game again, that's normal, it's not the most reliable system. Try again and it should work the second go round.

If it's still not working, as you said above you were offline for a bit. In that case, I'd unsubscribe from your mods, then resub and see if that does it. Going offline does weird things to the games recognition of mods.

When I select the mod options in-game, none of my subscribed mods appear there. It is just empty.

It's called a new thread, don't just jump into an unrelated post. Crashing save is likely due to-Trying to load a modded save (like trying to load a Thrawn's Revenge save while playing AOTR)

Trying to load a quicksave (they don't work since the patch)

Or a bad save file.

I've found when playing that if the game crashes in-game, the most latest save file will not load and will also just crash the game, and when playing these mods, theres usually a lot of crashes. So, I've found the most beneficial way to prevent losing a severe amount progress is saving often. As for loading a crashed save, most likley you wont be able to load it and will have to load your second most recent save.
