How to deal with anti-fighter corvettes?

Hi, im trying to attack an imperial level II space station and no matter what I do they keep on spamming tartan cruisers on top of my y-wings and destroy them all. What makes it worse is my fighters cant resist suicide charging into the anti fighter corvettes and getting killed and doing no damage. Meanwhile my larger ships are being pounded by tie bombers because my cr90 anti fighter corvettes only want to attack the space station. I tried sending the dp20 correlian gunships with concussion missiles forwards to destroy the tartan cruisers before my y-wings made an attack on the shield generator/hangar but they got destroyed by a laser turret and tartan cruisers because there are so many of them.

TLDR, imperial space station spams out tartan cruisers which kill all of my fighters and corvettes. y-wing AI attacks tartans instead of the shield generators and hangar i told them to go for.

Corvettes are strong against fighter and bomber
Frigates and Capitals are strong against Corvettes
Bomber are strong against Frigates and Capitals
Fighter are strong against Bomber

So if you want to destroy those Tartan Ships just send in Nebulons or stronger.
But to be honest I dont really have a single problem like this. The AI (at least on my end) is not strong at all. All that it does is cheating like there is no tomorrow. I could destroy a fleet out of X-Wings, Ackbar and the Sundred Heart with only a Level 1 Imperial Space Station without any other reinforcements other than those from the Station itself. And a Level 2 Space Station as far as my knowledge goes only spawns in 1 Tartan Cruiser. But the Cruiser will respawn as long as the Station is still functioning.
