FOC "Unable to find the installation path"

Hello everyone. I'm experiencing this problem which seems to have hit other users in the past. Basically when I try to launch FOC an error appears saying that the game can't be launched because the installation path can't be located. I've already tried reading other discussions but I wasn't able to solve the problem, I saw some guys uploaded their registry files but the links to download them are long dead..

Any advice? I've tried reinstalling the game several times, verified the integrity and cleaned all files after unistalling but still it won't work..

Try verifying game files, if that doesnt work, in which path (C: or D:) and what folder is the foc folder located?

Game files are good, tried several times but nothing shows up. Game is located in C:/ programmes (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/star wars empire at war/ corruption.

I read this should be caused by some missing registry files and that they can be created; I tried but with no success..

I had the problem too and the guide didn't work for me either. I do believe I did something wrong. But that site helped me https://www.regfiles.net/registry/star-wars-empire-at-war-registry
On the left side put in your Windows Version and Game Path. I left the CD key blank.. I don't know if it is really necessary since I have no problems without it. Anyway after that you can either download and double click the registry or you can copy the text and create the registry per txt file yourself.

It worked for me.
