republic Vs. Empire. who'd win in the war? (no force users)

I feel the republic wwould win as they have billions of troops that can acctually fire STRAIT! also, they have access to millions if not billions of acclimators, venators, and victory I- class star destroyers. and finally, they aren't completely HATED throuout the galaxy, unlike the empire. So, on a scale of 1 to 10, republic wins 5.5 times.

Boi are you dumb? i mentioned if we go into legends territory the empire would have the Sun crusher ect because they exist in legends. "BOI IF ITS MENTIONED IN CANNON, THAT MEANS IT EXISTS IN THE CANNON UNIVERSE " actually no it does not many things that are in legends may have a counterpart with the same name but that does not mean it's the same thing (See the hammerhead which looks different and is a corvette instead of a cruiser in canon)

Oh and also the only ships that were mentioned in Canon was the Mandator and it was just one line in one book where it was said that "a capital ship would have to be at least the size of the Mandator-class to supply power for a planet-killing superlaser." It just tell us that there is a ship named Mandator thats huge

Empire wins, as they are not limited by democracy, they can do whatever they want while Republic has to pass everything through the Senate.
Empire has everything the Republic has, even some clones if it is pre-ANH.
Empire isn't as afraid to kill civilians.
Only upside for Republic is the use of Jedi and fighter superiority.

For the fighter issue Fighters are more efficent than captial ships fighters come disable the engine and shields and then u can say bye bye to ur capital ship also the late repbulic had also access to Mandator Class and Mandator II class which can still destroy a fleet of around 2 to 3 ISDs also there where different ships than the Venator we just didnt see them in the series.

Tector-class Star Destroyer
and even ISDs where produces by the republic so meh Repblic would defenitly win.

Mandator Class = Not canon doesnt count
Maelstrom Class = Not canon doesnt count
Praetor Class =Not canon doesnt count (also wasnt used by the Republic but by the Empire)
Tector Class = Not canon doesnt count (also wasnt used by the Republic)

Also superweapons a pretty much useless.
Ships u mentioned which u said the republic didnt use is actually wrong again therfor meh.
Oh btw Venator wins fight VS ISD due to far more fighters and Bomber > Capital Ship

Mandator is sort of canon again because of The Last Jedi having the Mandator IV

Also, the republic has trillions of ships, compared to the empire. and while the venators are older, only ONE was able destroy the "Malevolence" after broadsiding it. and, lets face it, in "the clone wars" the clones where hampered down so that they would be more even with the droid's. They were also WAY better pilot's. In the movie's (which is what i'm going by) one clone could kill 20 droids on his own without being hit. Also, the victory one's are a match for ISD's if there are enough. and finally the mandator class. while its no ISSD, it can easly take down a ISD in a few minutes flat. also, if there were two broadsiding a ISSD on either side, the two could take it down easly.

empire IS the republic but with more advanced tech and more ruthless.
empire has the entire repblic army, which would tie the republic first, plus more advanced ships and no limits to what they can do

nope the empire phased out clones after the fall of the republic so they dont have their entire army

nope the empire phased out clones after the fall of the republic so they dont have their entire army

They actually still had clones, just not as many and none that were from the Jango Fett template due to the Kamino Uprising.

Just wanted to jump in here and say that the Empire would win simply because of better training, if nothing else. Sure, the Clones were bred for combat, but they were only given a few years of training from birth. And part of that training was spent learning how to perform basic functions like potty training and communication. From what I can gather, most Clone Troopers weren't even given a year of proper training before being shipped out for war. Most of the training was given through the equivelant of written tests, and many troopers never even fired a blaster until just before being shipped out for combat. The only reason why the Clones were an effective army was because of their physical strength, and the fact they were mostly fighting against extremely predictable droids.

Compare that to the extensive training in the Empire. Basic training, then years of experience as a Scout or regular army soldier. Then you get a chance to become a Stormtrooper, with more combat training. Officer schools and career paths to motivate people to fight for more than just survival, etc etc.

Basically, as cool as the Clones look, they're pretty worthless when fighting an enemy that actually strategizes.
