Unit Strengths/Weaknesses
When you hover over a unit you can see what it is strong and weak against, but I'd like to actually see the information for those opponents. If I try to move the mouse to that the popup disappears. Is there a way to see this information for any given unit in a different fashion?

I...don't understand what you mean.

Fighters are strong against other fighter and bombers.
Bombers are strong against anything NOT a fighter.
Corvettes are strong against small ships etc etc.

What else are you looking for? Its alot of rock, paper, scissors kinda thing. You just learn what the unit is and basically know what its good for.

I'm referring to the specific units that are shown when you hover over a unit (see image). I can't tell from the icons what the specific units are, so I wanted to be able to find a place in the game where I could see the same information without it disappearing when I move the mouse. I want to be able to hover over one of the Strong Against/Weak Against units to see what the specific unit was since there are different types of infantry and vehicles, etc.

I think you just have to come to recognize the unit portraits. I'd recommend exploring factions in Skirmish with enemies set to the easiest difficult to allow you time to tech up and see all the available units, it's what I do when exploring new mods.

I imagine there's some kind of player-created reference card out there somewhere that has the information for the default game units. I'll see if I can find something like that until I get familiar with the unit portraits.

Uhhh I think the closest your gonna get is Empire at war heaven.

Which is HEAVILY outdated and I am not sure that site is safe to visit(malware)

Oddly enough this game is obscure enough not to really have anything resembling a wiki page.

The original Boxed copies came with reference material like that.

You're right. All I remembered from it was the tech tree but after digging it up there were two panels on unit counters. Hopefully my pics are readable, if not they might be able to be found somewhere else. I don't have one for the Zann Consortium. They still don't provide indepth unit descriptions, but they at least display the names of counters. I'll dig out my FOC box copy and see if I can post the unit Counter list from it. (pretty sure it has one.)
