STAR WARS™ Empire at War: Gold Pack

How do you guys feel about the rebel's raid mechanic?
Although it is from a personal perspective, I feel as if the raid mechanic has always felt horridly unbalanced for the empire and consortium, as it allows the rebels to destroy days of building up a planet on the other side of the galaxy in an instant.
What do you guys think?

I reckon it's a big challenge to face a planet's garrison with only a few soldiers, so I reckon it's balanced enough for me.
It drove my brother crazy every time we played against each other... but I think it's balanced. It forces the Empire (and consortium) to garrison planets with a handful of troops in places they normally wouldn't have to, which I think fits the idea of the sort of guerilla warfare the Rebellion seemed to be all about.
Not nearly as bad as the consortiums corruption, the AI is insanely efficient at using it to destroy literally any building you've got on a planet, the only defense is to use up your entire economy to remove corruption asap, not rebuild things, (doesn't work for obvious reasons) or utilize the death star as the empire to destroy literally every planet and not care about ground period. The consortium is also capable of doing raids, though it's entirely because ALL their heroes have stealth. A consortium hero raid beats out nearly anything the rebel raids can do, mostly because once you figure out what they sent in the raid you can counter it, air speeders? couple aa guns, garm bel iblis? retreat, unless you've got the garrison present to actually take him down...

The empire does have an advantage in space, especially in forces of corruption with the executor and death star, so the raids are a balancing factor to make the empire defend their ground bases, at least until they destroy literally every planet.
As the Empire build light factories for their garrisons (ironic given that I hate the garrison mechanic). AT-STs can shred just about anything the rebels throw at you. When AT-STs barrage togather they will slaughter T4B tanks. They will even shred through Garm Ibelis if you have enough. Also be sure to have stormtroopers build AA turrets.

All that said though simply having one squadron of Lancet Wings on the surface makes rebel raids pointless because the rebels can't destroy them in a offensive manner.
if you place han over the planet (undetected) then raid with iblis and two t4 b units its lika a whole army bypassed the space defences
It's a nice mechanic, Garm bel iblis shouldn't be allowed to do raids though.
In my opinion rebel raids have helped balance the empire and the rebellion
