What's a good Galactic Conquest map for beginners?

I'm looking for something that's fairly balanced in terms of starter territory and funds. Smaller galactic map if possible. Are there any good vanilla or custom maps that are good for beginners? The campaign doesn't interest me very much, feels a bit too constricted.

Are we talking vanilla or FoC? In vanilla, The Conflict Begins. In FoC, Origin of Corruption. In both cases, you start with only 1-2 planets with a fair bit of early expansion room and only 20-30 planets. Very easy to take control of at first and many directions to expand as you see fit. Those were my favorites back when I started playing Empire at War.
