Improving How Ship Name Are Selected?
Is there any way for me to improve the name selection of ships? I would like to be able to get it so that every ship, except fighter and bomber squadron's, has its own unique name. I know how to add ship names to the appropriate .txt file and edit the gamecontants.xml file to change the .txt file used by different ship classes, etc.

The problem I am having is that regardless of list size, 80% of my ships use the first name on the list and they never go beyond the first 2 or 3 names on the list. The only exception is the pre-generated ships at the start of a GC. Best as I can figure EaW is unable to retain its position in the list of ship names once it has finished using the list. So at the start of the GC when it is creating a bunch of ships at once it will traverse most of the list but once in game it will almost always use the first name on the list.

As a hack I tried to point all the ships class at the same text file in the hopes the list would reset less often. However, I am rarely producing more than one or two ships, regardless of class, and almost never continuously so the list is still getting reset. I also considered trying to periodically edit the .txt files to change the first ship on the list but whenever I load an older save file after making a change that change is reverted.

Is there any way I can EaW to use the rest of the ship names?

I don't know how to mod that in, but it sounds like a great suggestion for a future Star Wars RTS game.
