Crossplay with GOG version?

i don't know if that is true that you can't but for what i saw you should be able too. you will just have to try it out and see.

Been kind of hoping for at least some of the fixes to make their way over to the GOG version, especially in light of Battlefront 2 (the original, of course) getting its shared update on both platforms.

Not sure if any of the devs or Disney have considered it or not.

If they're run off separate networks then no. Depends on what service the GoG version is using, if any. But shared local lan should work 100%.

Mann, I have the Physical Copy bought from EB Games and I can't activate it on steam.

This is super lame and no wonder why people no longer by actual Physical copies anymore when you're excluded from the gaming platform and not given any updates etc.

Disney please activate our versions not bought through Steam PLEASE.
I am not re-buying a game I already have.

I have the physical disk copy of this too and I bought it again on Steam during a sale. No regrets.
