Mods not working?
My game wont allow me to activate mods. I download a mod from the workshop. And launch FOC and nothing pops up saying to enable mods, even when the game is on the main menu.

Same here. I go to the mods and there is nothing listed even though i subscribe to them. Have you seen the processes of getting "Empire At War Remake" working when doing it manually? Its like a full days worth of intense computer programming work. Ive taken a pass on that and just playing vanilla.

I recently found the same issue with the workshop mods myself. I saw a video from Corey Loses channel on YouTube that proposed a fix that worked for me.

This is the youtube link to the video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOgvGr300ew

You just need to go to the launch options of EAW gold game and paste this:

Modpath=..\..\..\workshop\content\32470\

This line will be the same for every mod (or until now it hasn't given me any problems making them play).

Then you need to paste the number after the id tag on the workshop mod page URL.
If you copy the URL of Awakening of the Rebellion for the example you shall obtain this number:

1193084624

Finally, the line pasted in the launch options of the mod shall be:

Modpath=..\..\..\workshop\content\32470\1193084624

Where you see I pasted the number obtained from the worshop mod page.

It should work the same for every mod, just change the last numbers.
If I have mispelled some words pardon me, I'm not English.

All credits to Corey Loses, it helped me a lot!

For empire at war remake you also need to:

1. - go to the directory where EAW:REMAKE workshop has been downloaded

(for me it was "..steamapps\workshop\content\32470\1128775635")

2. - Create a new folder and name it "Data"

3. - Put all the following folders that are there: Art, Audio, Resources, Scripts, Text, Xml
inside the Data folder you created.

Alright so I just fixed my end, I don't know if it's the same issue I was having but it turns out some of these mods are pretty damn big, so what you should check is the downloads tab of steam, at the bottom of your window you should be able to click downloads and see yoru recent downloads, you may not have enough space to install the mods, I was scrambling everywhere trying to find a solution and there's nothing on it so double check, if this is the issue it should say "not enough disk space" in your downloads tab. If not, I'm not sure what else the problem is.
***I'm putting this here for both the author and anyone else looking up this problem, this is the first link to pop up so if those people have the same disk space issue I did, I sincerely hope this helped!

Thank you, this saved me a lot of work. I was about to start doing complex stuff to somehow fix it and then I found out I don't have the space.

My problem is the game crashes every time I open a mod.

I have the same problem I try to launch a mod and then the game crashes. But the weird thing is this only started happening after 11-9-22 update so I don't know if that changes anything.

This also does not work for me. My steam app does not show the Empire at War mods in that list along with the other games I've downloaded. It does show other mods for other games, but not EaW.
