That guide may or may not help.
File structure will still be pretty much the same, just create a mod folder in the corruption folder.
Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Empire at War\corruption\mods
Then you also don't edit the launch properties of a shortcut. Steam handles the .exe files differently for some reason. You right click on the game on your library, go to properties, and then click the set launch options button and enter the modpath thing. Then launch the game through the steam window, not a shortcut.
And because it's "Gold" version..
~Worse case scenrio i'll just install original discs.
