"Our general rule is that every game that does well will be closely evaluated for a sequel. I think the Impossible Creatures mechanic is quite great and would do well in a modern RTS but first lets see how Impossible Creatures Steam Edition does for us."
Basically, if this game sells well for them, they will definitely see that as an opportunity to make a sequel, to make more money. Right now, a lot of the buyers are nostalgics and people who want the Multiplayer that has been brought back to us.
So it is all down to word of mouth to bring this game back to light and hopefully get a sequel.
I can't speak to reasonable price points (20? 40 dollars?) but I think, mechanicwise (and perhaps even lorewise), this would absolutely be worthy as a sequel and I would buy it if I could afford it (Starving Students, woo!).
Can't tell if trolling or not...
They did Company of Heroes 2 which just released the british forces like a month or two ago...
Who said A should said B.
What game? :P
This game is an RTS, not a survival game. You can't make this game a survival game without making it a totally different game.
Though if IC2 were to happen I wouldn't mind if the campaign got a bit more open, perhaps in a Dark Crusade/Soulstorm/RISK fashion, where you are free to claim territories in whatever direction/order you feel like, and animals being restricted to certain regions/areas. A bit more replayability perhaps.
