Our general rule is that every game that does well will be closely evaluated for a sequel. I think the Impossible Creatures mechanic is quite great and would do well in a modern RTS but first lets see how Impossible Creatures Steam Edition does for us.
As for Mac and Linux: No plans for a native port, sorry. Wine should be able to handle it quite well though.
If i'm right, it was Relic > THQ > Sega.
Taken from wikipedia:
Big Huge Games sold to 38 Studios.
ValuSoft sold to Cosmi.
Relic Entertainment sold to Sega.
Volition sold to Deep Silver.
THQ Studio Montreal sold to Ubisoft.
Nordic Games announced that it had acquired the THQ trademark, allowing the studio to publish games under the THQ name
Wine is a stopgap solution at best. It's also one that means no money from SteamOS sales.
Something tells me that they might have sequel in plans then or they are just that big fans to buy rights to this game.
