Lobster Moose
Is there anything stronger? If so I haven't found it.

Granted, they're weak to air, that's obvious, but with a light AA screening courtesy of bands of henchmen building towers they don't seem flawed in any way but cost, and even then they're cheap for what they do.

Oh, and they're crappy scouts, because that matters for a level 5. Can't have it all, I guess.

Behemoth Chameleons are ridiculously strong as well, 22 ranged attack and massive health and defense.

The things are monsters and they're cheap for what they are. Get some good coal and electricity production and you can pump them out like a factory line.

It's disgusting.
Whales and any HUEG size animal make something stupidly powerful when combined with any invertebrate, no matter what.

Also, in doubt, use Wolverine, those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s are my favourites.

Well in vanilla and insect invasion, thats probably the best meele 5 lvl unit you can have, the only one that really can rival it, I think is mamooth + lobster. In tellurian however it seems like there are more possibilities in lvl 5, mind you I didnt play this game while ICO was down, some veterans probabply had communities playing throug hamachi, so... they might have discovered the best combinations in tellurian, like moose lobster was in insects/vanilla.

Octopus/elephants in Tellurian are pretty hardcore.
Back when Impossible Creatures Planet was still online, there was a stickied(!) topic in the forums specifically dedicated to the Moose Lobster (Moosobster) and how to effectively counter it - you can still visit that topic if you use WayBackMachine. Flyers (such as the Moose Hornet) and Defilers are useful for killing them.

On a side note, I don't know why you would ever want a scout unit to be level 5. Scouts shouldn't be higher than level 3.

Yep, as I see these are very cheap with a good anti-buiding damage, for the cheapest level V units with good damage, I reccomend this unit if do you want an economic juggernaut.
My best units are:
Level I: Armadillo + Snail, the best lvl I cheapest tank I made.
Chameleon + Bat Makes the BEST ever lvl I explorer
Level II: Poison Frog + Wolverine Makes one of the best ranged combinations, with a nice self-defense
Mayan Tapir + Zebra Some of the most balanced Inmune creatures
Level III: Armadillo + Hippopotamus My best lvl III tank
Pistol Shrimp + Lionless Pretty speed pack hunting ranged unit with barrier destroy
Level IV: Behemoth + Shark Whale Am continuing thinking this is the cheapest and effectiviest lvl IV tank.
Narwhal + Firefly My best lvl IV flyer and anti-range unit
Level V: Crocodile + Gorilla Continuing beign some of the best lvl V creatures
Narwhal + Tiger Some of my best anti-tank creature, very cheap and effective

Anaconda + anything makes for a good melee unit.Torso for damage is really nice for a lot of units.

I remember spamming wasps and sharks and cheetas, doubt I ever found the moose or mammoth during my playthrough. This was when I was younger of course.

Mooselobs are the best melee's in 1.1 and ii but they're super expensive and for the most part using something you can spam out quickly like elepherines or even rhinobsters can net you a win before they hit their popcap.
