I just show that showing one fact (Linux users share drop) and hiding another one ( grow of the number of all steam accounts) may lead to lie.
He just gave one true fact. Hide another one. And from such a commbination he speculate another so called facts ... ( "People who don't like Windows 10 are finding ways to stay on 7, not switching to a completely new and foreign to them OS" -> how he knows it ... )
Let's assume Planetdune that You know the basics of classical logic :P
Let's assume that You can interpretate sucha a logical fact:
p = 0
q = 1
p -> q = 1
It is allways possible.
another different thread :)
why You assumed that I defend Linux? :)
why all such a war rhetoric? :) :P
defend, fight, die ...
This discussion is under a subject "Does anybody know if Monkey Island will be published for Linux?"
It's not some massive wave of folks switching but Linux has grown in numbers on Steam. The Win10 share has grown quite a bit over the last year too but a "free" upgrade will do that along with folks buying new machines (the shrinking numbers of older Windows versions are evidence of this.)
As far as folks staying on 7, it's anecdotal as much as you saying there's a ton of folks switching to Linux is. Neither is really reflected in the user surveys here or ones published by tech sites.
As far as this game goes its unfortunately not likely. Disney are the ones in charge of the series and they didn't have much to do with these remasters.
Quite frankly I'm surprised they re-released the 3rd and 4th in the series though so never say never.
They re-released the 4th? Here on Steam?? /goes to check Store
Edit: /comes back dissapointed
There are plenty of games on goG I wish were on Steam... but I only want one digital library and my choice is Steam.
A lot of the older games start on gog and get released on steam after a few months so patience may reward you.
People are "very happy with W10" ? Oh dear.
For what i've seen, very many have initially "accepted" the oppressive new behaviour of that also soon to be a monthly pay model OS, but at some point, enough has been enough. The main reason to switch to Linux has been the way W10 updates and even resets user settings without asking.
The Linux newcomers have been in awe of their new experience in freedom. Believe it or not. Especially the senior people have mentioned their thankfulness on how the updates just proceed in the background while they continue to browse web etc.
Ubuntu MATE has been the most efficient gateway to Linux for all kinds of people of all ages and needs.
I am pretty sure the places you look for things to be seen fit your agenda perfectly. Also, I never had any settings revert and I have been using W10 since I got it for free during release when you upgraded from W8. I'm sure you can find plenty of articles where there are issues, bugs, settings reverted and whatnot.... you can find whatever fits your agenda on the internet. Again, you like Linux, that is fine. I like Windows and I am sure you believe that is fine as well.
Nice thanks for the heads up. It's truly wonderful now that the purchase counts as a Linux sale via Proton / Steam Play even though a Spydows only game.
Added to wishlist.
