Black Screen on Start

Every time I open the game, I’m met with a black screen and “not responding” status in Task Manager. I’ve tried reinstalling and updating, but nothing has worked so far.

I have the same problem, black screen when starting the game. Then the window is closed. I have the same with the first part of the Monkey Island series. My system: Pop OS 22.04, 5.17.5-76051705-generic kernel.

Same issue for me. Was part way through game when it died. Need a fix for this please!

The same fix for The Secret of Monkey Island worked for me. In short, view the local game files and set Monkey2.exe to Windows 95 compatibility mode.

Same issue for me on windows 11, but compatibility to windows 95 does not function. :-( Tried also the .ini fix but also this don't work...
