Texture packs
Will there be options for texture packs? personally I think the game looks a bit cartoonish imo. I hope there will be options for texture packs, you could'nt tell me that would not be cool if there was a medieval texture pack overhaul of this game. To be quite honest I'm really excited about the game as I'm a huge fan of MC and and anything open world in general. What's keeping me from purchasing the game is the fact that its cartoony looking :( hate to say. All the rest of it seems incredible.

I completely respect the game in it's current form and any other form in might portake in the near future, The only thing I ask is a possiblity to edit the block textures, but still keep the depth of field, occlusion, bloom, and dynamic lighting.

Not intentionally comparing to minecraft I just don't have another example but the JohnSmith texture with SEUS shaders in MC was incredible

Oort compared to Minecraft, all texture packs are a complete joke. Oort looks so much better than MC, is so much more immersive, there is just no comparison. You can patch MC forever and will never come close to Oort graphics wise.

Oort is a MC type game, but it's totally nex gen.

I am not sure why you try to compare a next gen mmo to minecraft. But I honestly doubt that you can retuxture oort online that easy as you wish like you did it in minecraft. This thinking also lacks in the interest of a multiplayer game.

Did you mod your World of Warcraft textures too?

I'm sure they said somewhere that the current textures in this game is only a placeholder (pretty much everything right now is a placeholder).

Heh, it's interesting to see people flip out about this game's textures being compared to Minecraft, considering some of the textures seem to have been lifted directly from a resource pack for minecraft. Google PureBDcraft.

I dont understand the medieval texture pack part, i mean this isnt minecraft where you can add modifications for its looks, its going to be an mmo unless they change paths.
