im trying my best to get the long fall achievement and whats the easiest way to get it
and second question what does the rainbow ore do other than achievement

You'll need to fall the full distance from the top of the map to the bottom, easiest way to check if you got a clear path is to start at the bottom, fly straight up, if you bump your head clear the obstacle repeat, if you make it to the top, just let yourself fall back down the same path.

Nothing.

Wouldn't it be easier to pick a corner or something and just dig straight down first?
I'd planned on starting a game just for that one.

this doesnt work unfortunately as the hole gets smaller as you get deeper so you have to go from the middle or youll hit the edges.
