Treasure destroyed?? Steam Achievements Glitched??

So I've dug out a far bit and I have easily done a fair chunk of the achievements but they wont complete for me. Seems like the achievements have glitched for me and I might have to start a new game??

Can the treasure be blown up with dynamite? I found both keys and opened the chest in the garage.

You get your achievements in achievement mode, which is the second playthrough.
Whatever you do in your first will count for the achievements though.

Anyone have the issue where achievement mode disappears? Beat the game, started a play through in achievement mode. Next time I started the game, it only allows me to start a new game.
