Not everything your anti virus software screams is a virus.
There is a LOT of legal and good stuff that those softwares cry about.

And always if you report a game would have a virus don't just say "My software says so", give us the EXACT string of text it gives you. It often describes already if its a virus or just a simple false positive.

You can submit the file that it's claiming has the virus to Norton so they can clear whatever is causing the false positive for you. But no, it doesn't have any viruses in it :P

If you have the same problem, why do you ignore the reply "TELL US WHAT NORTON EXACTLY TELLS YOU" so we can tell you why you can ignore that because Norton is is one of the worst softwares out there.

"IDP.Generic" is NOT a threat or a Virus.
That only means that Norting is thinking it MIGHT be a malware as the exe is executing something (in 99.9% absolutely okay) that Norton thinks is bad.

first of all, uninstall norton and run a file cleaner to get rid of the remaining files (s2g its like a rootkit). second of all, use windows defender only, or get malwarebytes and use that in conjunction with wd. third, install and enjoy the game >:)

AntiVirus Softwares do NOT only trigger on real real viruses. They trigger on endless stuff that is neither bad, nor a virus. Just an info "This Software does something I do not know why it does that".
Norton is EXTREMELY bad. It was awesome in old DOS times but nowadays it blocks good software, detects stuff that is nothing, etc. etc. etc. Just uninstall that stuff.
Unless you go onto illegal websites you don't actually need an Anti-Virus software nowadays. Windows Defender blocks a good 98% of all possible bad thingies except some tropical viruses you mostly only get when you are trying to do illegal stuff.
