Bug - Entire yard re-filled after saving and reopening game

I played the game for a few hours yesterday, and thought it would be fun to dig out the entire yard. I went to bed after I had gotten down to about -20m for the entire yard (had max upgrades by this point) and saved and closed the game.

Upon reopening it today, I had all my upgrades still, but the yard was back to being green with that big red X. A bit disappointed, i started digging again, only to find after a few minutes that the pre-generated tunnels, mineshafts, and even the mole area were all filled in with dirt. Since the final area is filled with dirt, I'm obviously unable to complete the game on this save. I could mine it out in theory, but it seems far more tedious than just restarting on a new save.

Good to know I'm not the only one who is attempting to dig out the entire yard for no reason haha. I sure hope that doesn't happen to me though
