Stonemason achievement not working

I've dug up the entire area down to 20 meters and still haven't got the Stonemason achievement, requiring 100 stones collected.
I've easily collected over 100 stones but not the achievement?

The achievement mode is unlocked after your first playthrough. Also I think the Stonemason is destroying big stones with dynamite.

Nah, it's definitely collecting stones the $1 turn in, no way I blew up 100 big stones, but you're for sure right that it won't pop until NG+
