A long fall bug

Cant get the achievement at all. falling from max height to bottom and stuck at 3.9 seconds. tried both just walking into the hole, jetpack from very top. stopping before dying and not stopping.

You need to actually dive into the area beneath 100M. Otherwise, there is a bug where if you collide with a ledge you don't have enough space to stand on it'll stall you in the air for a bit instead of giving you fall damage. The game still thinks you're falling when this happens, so if you can do this it might help. My current longest fall is 4.7 seconds because of this.

still stuck on this achivement, im not sure what i need to do bc ive tried almost everything is there a way to go deeper than the mole holes? PLEASE HELP

I am though thats the thing. Im going from the top, to the very bottom and im not hitting anything. [edit] ah nevermind i just got it. Yeah i misread the comment lol and what i did was slide against the very bottom white stone into the hole. it still killed me but i got the achievement

For me, I started at the bottom (into the cave at the bottom) and then dug straight up. If my character moved at all, I knew there was more stuff in the way, so I dug out more. Once I could fly up uninterrupted, I flew to max height and then fell to my death.

Didn't get the achievement immediately, had to exit and come back in.

i just dug all possible dirt that could get in the way in any way so like 99% of the dirt in the pit and just flew straight up with the jetpack from the entrance to the top of map and just fell to my death and got it

you need to make sure you're falling from 5m to -119m. parts of the bottom area are only at -118m. just try and find the lowest possible point at the bottom and dig straight up. should work after that.

The achievement appeared in-game, but if it's an achievement on steam, it didn't pop.

You need to dig until 100m (enter of mole lair) and have a hole enough large to not be stopped. You can, also, use jetpack to take little height from the surface. Attention to very little parts of rock you leave by digging. They can stop the fall and make you damage.

Just jetpack up as high as possible, and land in the lowest point at the bottom. Once I had cleared out a straight hole I did it on first try, IDK how could it possibly not trigger.

Maybe there are little almost invisible specks of dirt you are hiting on the way down?

Pip is correct, there's a specific corner of the entrance to the caves that you have to aim for when falling from max jet pack height. The other 3 corners and middle are 1 meter higher and will only award 3.9 seconds of fall time.

This is completely incorrect. Gravity in this game matches real gravity (9.8 meters/second), so you have to fall a little less than 40 meters to get this achievement. I just got it after falling about 80% of the way down the hole I'd dug.

Sounds to me like there is some inconsistency across game sessions or pc configs then. It was completely impossible for me to get this achievement without aiming for the slightly lower corner of the mole hole. Great for you that it was easy but 80% of the way down 100% would not work for me.
