Teleporter is *single use*!
I learnt the hard way.

me too...
Same. I was like, "I just saved, so let's see what happens if I just use it here in the house? Oh, lame, well let me reload...dammit."
The max depth isn't really that deep to the point where a teleporter is all that useful anyway. The jetpack is more than enough to get you out of any depth so long as you're smart about your battery consumption.

If the game had more depth to it(pun intended) then I could see a teleporter being useful.
I also used it, realized it was a waste, and decided to reload and hold onto it. I was disappointed that having it at the "end" of the game didn't give you an alternate ending.

I'm also disappointed the end doesn't let you use any other items. I was prepped for a Motherlode sort of ending and got that instead.
indeed, i kept forgetting I had it, and then when I noticed it neglected using it in-case it was 1 use

then I used it and was disappointed

at least let us buy more for like $5k each or something

Motherlode? Google only shows me an old flash game called Motherload, but it doesn't seem to have a story to it.

I'm not sure why it exists. the jetpack is enough to get you out fairly fast over and over. Like, what is it for?

The old flash game is the one, it's a very similar game but FAR better fleshed out, better balanced, has better pacing, more to do, more loot, and is just an all-around better game (ironically).

There's a version of a completely re-imagined version that's actually available on Steam, and IIRC you can use that steam version to play the old flash game version (the one with all the bug patches and QoL updates that were made for the old flash version, called "Goldium Edition").
Ah, here it is!
Super Motherload is the new steam version, but you can use it to play the best quality version of the old (imo, better) Goldium Edition flash version.
