Task Rewards don't roll over?

I completed a day's daily tasks. I did not get online to collect the reward. I completed a second day's tasks. I did go online. I only got one inventory item. This has happened before. Why?

Technically you answered my question, but hey, I'll indulge in some wishful thinking & hope someone can tell me WHY.

The WHY would be that it's a server based action, not local. If it was local, you could mess with the clock and get your dailies multiple times. So it has to be this way.

Just keep Steam online whilst Chonking, and either don't sign into Friends or be sneaky and use invisible mode!

I didn't know you could cheat it. I wouldn't have thought to try.

So it's not just some arbitrary decision that everyone must be on the internet 24/7, it's to prevent cheating. See how much clearer the world is when people EXPLAIN things rationally?

Thank you again, also I didn't know there was an invisible mode? OK, it turns out yes I did. Except I thought that was for hiding from your friends, not everyone? Everyone would be so good - I don't have good experiences on forums/chat rooms usually.
