I do have collections though, which I know is slowing me down. I've already deleted some (and will have to recollect them later) to make space for more billionaires, but doing so means shifting everyone back a room, and as you point out, the latter rooms are not good for an income bonus.
I had actually considered asking if we could have income boosters alongside the XP ones in dailies. Small ofc, but something.
Right now, I'd say that 6 rooms is the soft cap in the game, as rooms and furniture prices increase exponentially while after getting to space chonkers, the income you get with each room increases linearly. Maybe in future versions even more advanced and profitable cats will be added, maybe the economy will be rebalanced. Or it may stay as is, acting as a barrier so the game never "ends".
7 is still doable for a relatively active player, thanks to the litterbox rebalance, but it's a grind. I'm at 31.8t / 24 hours (I do have 6 rooms but 1.5 are dedicated to collection cats, and I'm not quite that far yet in replacing everything with space Savannahs, let alone the chonker version), and I have $1.06q right now (up from $311t nine days ago). Cleaning litterboxes a couple times an hour when I'm at the computer.
Anything beyond room 7 is absolutely utopic though, and I expect something to change (room purchase cost rebalance would be my preferred option) before I reach the $3.20q ...
