It could be a mod for the game, like Republic Commando. Although I'm not sure so don't hold me to that response.

I can testify that this game does indeed have online co-op support, on the Xbox360. Also Indiana Jones 2 and Harry Potter 1-4, all on the Xbox360.

Probably no online support on the PC versions.

I think all Lego-games are only Splitt-Screen-Multiplayer. I hoped they will integrate it in LotR but they don't :(

I think this confusion arose because some retail boxes of the PC version still mentioned online co-op on the back. Just a few days ago I saw some budget bin re-release that still had that error.

Even the Steam store erroneously mentioned it for a few hours before it was removed.

Can you play local co-op over a LAN connection ? From what Im hearing, its split screen only but just wanting to clarify on the meaning of 'local'.
