Single player mode not working?

Is this game only co-op? I'm trying to play single player and I can't get the other fella to follow. I'm using the keyboard and there are two full sets of buttons for the two characters. I thought you were supposed to be able to swap between them and then someone will follow.

Basically, i have WASD to move one guy and then LRUD (left, right, up down) arrows for the other... this makes it impossible to play the game!! There doesn't seem to be a menu option to make it a single player experience. Please help!

When you start a game, it should only work for one player. The second one is able to join in each level by push button (if i remember correct its F2). So if there are two players active at beginning, try to change in controloptions.

Weird problem, since the second player by default always has to actively join.

As a workaround, you should always be able to drop out the 2nd player again by opening the in-game menu with the 2nd player and selecting the option.

It's a weird interface, I also thought that the two icons were to switch between single player characters, but it's showing you the TWO player co-op character icons.
Your single player character icons only swap out on the left side.
They should have just left the right side icon off unless you selected a co-op mode at a main menu screen first.

Naturally you'd press numpad enter and select drop out to go solo mode. You'd have to check your buttons settings to see what button you'd press to change characters. (I believe its labled as "tag" for switching characters )

Soo I still have this problem tho haha - can someone give me a step by step guide? I have never played the PC version before :(

If my memory serves me correctly, you should be able to pause the game and press the "drop out" button in the menu. That will make player 2 an AI again.
