Refresh rate issue
I bought this game about a week and a half ago and have not been able to play it at all due an issue that causes the game to start in a full black screen with audio playing.
I did an EXTENSIVE search on the boards here and the internet in general and found practically nothing with regards to this particular release of the game. There were some posts that made reference to similar issues with the individually released earlier versions of Lego Star Wars, but nothing in relation to this version. I'm sure someone will look this up and say, "Just try what they did in one of those and see if it works." You can't and I will tell ya why: 1. The file tree is not the same for this version as with the older versions. 2. The key file to edit "starwars.bin" doesn't even exist in this version of the game.
I have searched my entire computer for this file, for this version it simply does not exist.

I have had similar issues to this one with other games and the fix for them was rather simple, just change the refresh rate to something higher or lower than what it was trying to run at by default and they would run perfectly thereafter. I was always able to locate some type of config file that I could edit and that would fix the problem. Not so with this one!
I found a file called "pcconfig.txt" that seems to contain all the settings to make the game run, problem is, whenever I change a value in the file, the game apparently overwrites it upon startup of the game. So, I got the idea, "Why don't I just edit it the way I want then make the file 'Read Only' to keep it from being overwritten?". Well guess what? That didn't work either!
The only conclusion I can come up with is that there is probably another config file somewhere that is like a "master config file" that the game can default to if it can't read the pcconfig.txt file for what ever reason, problem is that if there is a "master config file" I have no idea where it is. I've looked everywhere for anything that may even slightly resemble something like this and have had no luck. I'm out of ideas and open to suggestions...
