Gamepad Controller not working?

I've played the LEGO LOTR game on steam with two xbox 360 wired controllers without issue, but I can't seem to get them to work for the LEGO Star Wars saga game. I know the controllers work, they operate just fine for other games but their inputs apparently aren't detected in Star Wars. I've tried to change the controller in the game, but it still doesn't recognize any xbox controller inputs, only the keyboard. Anybody have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

my kids tried to play the game today and had the exact same problem. just a bunch of no input listings for all the controls. what the hell has happened?

Me pasa lo mismo, no reconoce el xbox, pero lo peor es que reconociendo un wingman de ligitech, tampoco deja configurarlo. amos, que despues de comprarlo te encuentras que lo tienes que jugar como hace diez o doce años (con teclado )y encima no se puede devolver.
Panda de sinvergüenzas, que aseguran que el juego soporta controladores hasta en el manual.... Primer y último juego que compro en línea.

Did you, by any chance, touch the keyboard/mouse you started the game?

It's set up weird, but the game seems to only allow one type of controller, determined by which controller you touched. If you touch keyboard/mouse at any time, kb/m will take over permanently until you exit and restart the game.

Try starting the game, and then NOT touching keyboard/mouse. Only use gamepad (yes, it's annoying, especially having to navigate through menu with gamepad).

Just checked, Xbox wired works perfectly.

Just checked, xbox wired does NOT work perfectly, nor does it work at all. Starting LSWTCS without touching the keyboard/mouse does not in fact allow me to use the xbox 360 controller. I'm on windows 10, connected with a wire. I've scoured the internet for the past hour with no results that work.
This is incredibly frustrating.

I'm haing the same issue where I'm trying to use my Logitech dual control gamepad. In Lego Star Was The Complete Saga (LSWTCS), I'm trying to use the hook option (in the spinning red circle) on revenge of the Sith on chapter 2 but when you are playing with only the two Jedis, the "action" button only allows you to "use the force" or put your lightsaber away. I dont know if it is just the controller or the game. The controller back buttons dont work either and when I go into control options to reconfigure the controller, I cant reconfigure the buttons. The controller works for most of the game play, but now I'm on a chapter that I cant really play because on option on the controller cant be configured. There isnt a newer driver, or anything else online to help with this issue. If anyone finds a link, please post.

Just checked myself and wanted to chip in with my input: My Xbox 360 wired controller is working correctly with this game. I'm running Windows 8.1 64-bit with an i7 4790 and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 760.

That right there is just how the game works. Only characters with blasters can use those grappling hooks. Jedi characters don't have blasters, and therefore can't use grappling hooks. Chances are, it's an optional area you can return to in Free Play. You should be able to complete the level by following a different path. If you're really stuck, look up a walkthrough on the internet.

Okay, thank you. I will look up a walkthrough online. I had this on my Nintendo Wii and played without a problem but on PC seems to be different. I will repost when I find a good walkthrough.
