Cannot get past Episode 4, Chapter 5

I am trying to drive the vehicle over the red squares. I hit all of them, turn them green and the ledge is not coming out, as it is supposed to

I have restarted the game, multiple times, and still cannot get it to work.

Is this an unfixed bug?

The problem is that the AI like to follow you, so they step on the plates and reset them, f you start at the back of the hangar and outrun them you should be able to activate the bridge you need to raise.
