LEGO® Star Wars™: The Complete Saga

LEGO® Star Wars™: The Complete Saga

Let's talk about 100%
Okay. Let me start this off by saying that Lego Star wars the complete saga is one of the MOST TEDIOUS lego games out there, it's a fun and good lego game but when it comes to 100% it's very annoying compared to the other games. here are a few things I really dislike about TCS

1. inability to skip cut scenes: is very time consuming having to be forced to sit there and watch them again after completing story mode is just unbearable.

2. Movement speed: This could be a personal thing but i find the player movement speed very slow compared to other lego games or the newer ones.

3. Blue minikits: this one is not just tedious but also quite boring since you already re-played the levels once in free play now do it again under 20 mins, it's not hard just eats time.

4. Super story: Super story really does it for me I don't see the point of replaying all levels in 1 sitting and having to watch unskippable cut scenes again. if the scenes were skippable it will cut down the boring grind.

Also the levels are made so that you can't really speed run/rush it. when it comes to boss fights or vehicle levels you're forced to do it the normal way. Mainly because of this super story I'm stuck at 97.8% I am happy with that percentage completion, Yes I know this game was made in 2008 and They might not have thinked about it but TCS remains as one of the most Time gnawing tedious game.

Thankfully the newer lego games while still being Leogy Tedious it is done in a fun way, Let's hope that the Skywalker saga has a fun approach like Force awakens,

This are my main complaints about this game what are your complaints? Use this Discussion to vent out your frustration.

Currently at like 99%, just got episode V and VI super stories left, and I agree. Would not recommend going for 100%. Once you've completed the main story, everything else is pretty much just playing the same levels over and over again. Super story really did not need to be added at all. At the very least it should not count toward the final %.

Free Play is quite alright I always find free play fun. but the blue minikits were a turning point for me and Yes I agree super story is quite pointless.

Yeah free play isn't too bad, at least you're getting to explore some new areas. Finally managed to hit 100% this morning. The super stories and the last 2 bonus levels are easily the worst parts of this game.
I found lego lotr/hobbit pretty tedious especially regarding the side missions and its a giant open world too. I feel the lego harry potter games have a perfect mix in terms of 100%

Have to agree with LOTR and hobbit bit big and mainly tedious especially the side quests that require you to use a character customizer. but still quite enjoyable to slowly take in everything while collecting stuff in LOTR and Hobbit.

I find harry potter a bit annoying when it comes to free play, mainly the free roaming in years 1-4 there wasn't any hint or guide to tell you which collectables you missed like in years 5-7 with the ghost as a guide.

in regards to SWCS im currently on episode 4 and only doing minikits/true jedi then ill move onto the bonus levels then the horror of blue minikits
i tried a blue minikit and thought i simply had to complete the level in under the time limit so i speedran negotiations and realised i missed the blasted cannisters which makes it a whole lot tougher
you are correct in not needing to 100% since this game doesnt have achievements but i guess do it if you have done previous lego games and want to screenshot the moment

Ah which leads me to another problem I failed to mention.. the collectables are not on the start menu so you can't screenshot everything in one epic moment just by pausing the game like the newer games. If you have the patience to play super story then by all means do so! but I've spent 30+ hours already and I feel like I should have gotten my 100% with the blue minikits, compared to Lego DC super-villains I have 60+ hours most of which were invested in the open world (which was very fun to do)

Lego Star Wars 3 the clone wars also felt more rewarding and less of a boring grind.

yeah the newer lego games seem to be excelling, the older ones were great for nostalgia, and now with skywalker saga releasing soon it will be a great time for us to rejoice on a new engine with majority of the game being in a 3rd person viewpoint rather than the fixed camera lego games from 2005-2017 had
