Cannot launch the game

I played this game on my old Win10 laptop and just got a new Win11 one. I tried launching the game from the steam menu and it just faults out after a few seconds with no explanation. I tried launching the game directly from the exe file in the game folder and got this:

The code execution cannot proceed because d3dx9_35.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this issue.

I reinstalled Lego SW, same issue.

Looked it up, this file is part of direct X. Verified I have DirectX 12.

I downloaded d3dx9_35.dll and put it in the folder. Tried to open from the exe file again and got:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click okay to close the application.

I suspect there is some issue with directX versions? Has anyone run this program in Windows 11 with DirectX12?

Whelp, resolved it myself. Found a DirectX installer in the Lego folder, ran that, and the game worked. Even though I still have direct-X 12 installed???

I have the same problem try to do the same exact as you and it didn't work for me. Guess I will have to refund the game :'(

Were did you find the legofolder on your computer? Cant find it at all ://
