PS4 CONTROLLER NOT WORKING HELP

So i got this game cuz it was on a 2 dollar sale, super happy to play it but it does nto read my ps4 controller. I have tried looking up old post but none of those answers are working. i plug in my contoller and open steam in big picture mode go to the application and play game and once it brings up the game it does nothing and i can then only control the game with my mouse and keyboard. any ideas or tips

Unfortunately, the PS4 controllers use a different driver than the XBox controllers, which is what most PC games use. There is software that can translate the PS4 inputs into XBox inputs. As I don't use them, I can't really reccomend anything. You might try the Help and Tips forum as I'm sure there are people there who would be more familiar with it
