How can I install the disc version onto Steam?

I own the 2009 disc version of the game for Windows. Do you know of any way to install the game into steam without having to buy a new copy? I've tried creating an ISO file and uploading it to Steam, but it is not recognized by Steam. Any ideas?

Does it have a CD key? You might be able to register it through Steam using that. If that fails you can send an email to the publisher's support desk asking them for a Steam key (proof of purchase will be required, if they will do it it, you just need to send a clear photo of the CD key).

If they won't allow a replacement like that, then you will need to re-buy the game.
