Controller doesn't work

Any way to get the controllers working in this game? On start menu it just gives me the option to press start but no button works. Keyboards works perfectly tho.

Anyone know a fix? Very annoying, would love to play a childhood game

I've been having the same issue.
From personal experience, if you just hold a button on your controller as the game's starting up, it should register the controller by the time it gets to the title screen.

As Zeke said, when you see the startup screen "press any button to start" DO NOT press a single key on your kb and press a random button on your controller, it will then stick to controller and not kb/m ive made this mistake accidentally and had to restart the game
